Blue and Yellow run down to the leeward mark in the third match of the day, both on port gybe, overlapped, with Yellow inside and to windward. Blue sails the faster line and draws clear ahead when she is about two and a half hull lengths short of the mark. Yellow hails for room. Blue answers that the overlap is long gone, sails to the mark and rounds tight, and has to alter course to stay clear of Yellow as she does it. Yellow follows her round astern. The boats do not touch. Both fly a red flag.
