Yellow and Blue reach for the next mark on port tack with Yellow to leeward, overlapped, and about a length between them. Yellow comes up, smoothly and without hurry, from a beam reach until she is close-hauled and both boats are sailing well above the course to the mark. Blue has the room to follow her up and calls that Yellow is miles above her proper course. Blue does not respond and the boats touch, Yellow's bow against Blue's transom. Neither boat is damaged and nobody is hurt. Blue flies a red flag.
